This is a simple variation on my PlaintextPaste plugin. This time, however, a "Copy Plain Text" item is added to the Edit menu of all Cocoa apps. This becomes handy when, say, surfing the web. You might see a patch of styled text on a certain page you want to add to a word processing document. Copying this styled text will preserve its colors, styles, fonts, etc. If you choose "Copy Plain Text" instead, you will instead copy the text to the clipboard without any "richness" to it. If you want to paste plain text into a non-Cocoa app (such as AppleWorks or Microsoft Word), this makes a nice substitute for PlaintextPaste (assuming you're copying the text from a Cocoa app).
It's recommended you do not try to install this on Jaguar; it is likely to crash your system. Please use this on OS 10.3 and greater only. This plugin is much less useful after the introduction of PlaintextPaste 0.2, since PlaintextPaste now incorporates PlaintextCopy's functionality and is more flexible. PlaintextCopy 0.1 is the last version.PlaintextCopy 0.1

Installing PlaintextCopy is pretty easy. Just run the installer program provided in the zip file. A file called "PlaintextCopy.bundle" will be installed in your /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins folder, and SIMBL itself is installed in /Library/InputManagers. Your applications will be left untouched, so if you ever have problems with PlaintextCopy, uninstalling it is as easy as deleting the files mentioned above.
To uninstall, either run the installer again and click the "Uninstall" button, or manually uninstall by deleting the file /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/PlaintextCopy.bundle and optionally the entire /Library/InputManagers/SIMBL directory.
